Steve McNay, one of the lovely people who works with Mind BLMK, has got a place in the London Marathon, taking place in April 2017.

He is training hard. Really hard. He's stopped eating sweets. He's having muesli for breakfast. And is running miles each week.

You can help him by donating to his target. The money raised will go to support the work that Mind BLMK does, especially going towards the Youth In Mind project, which aims to work with young people and help them manage the difficulties that some experience with emotional health and wellbeing.

Young people's mental health is essential and yet more and more young people are experiencing difficulties; depression, anxiety, low self-esteem and self-worth, issues around eating, self-harm and suicide are all increasing.
Whilst there is some good work happening, there remain significant gaps in provision, especially at an early stage. Mind BLMK's Youth in Mind project aims to work with young people, those that support them and others in our local communities to develop and deliver a range of options to improve this.

You can help. Make a donation to support the project and help Steve reach his fundraising target.

Steve was lucky enough to be involved with the training day at the Olympic Park today, supported by the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, Prince Harry, Paula Radcliffe and Iwan Thomas. You can check all the pictures on the Facebook page, but a little taster...
