International Yoga Day is an opportunity to get involved with a range of different yoga sessions, in the beautiful surroundings of Bedford Park. There is something for everyone and we are extremely grateful  to Jacquelyn Cooper of Halcyon Yoga for putting together such a varied programme. 

Wednesday 21st June 2017 is International Yoga Day and local yoga practitioners, the Pavilion at the Park and Mind BLMK are holding a day of yoga, in Bedford Park, near the Pavilion. There are sessions running throughout the day but you do need to book a space. 

All sessions are free, but you can make a donation to Mind BLMK if you wish. 

Tickets will be allocated on a 'first come' basis, but we will operate a waiting list.

We would ask that you only book tickets for a maximum of three sessions, allowing as many people as possible to be a part of this great event and, if you can't make it, please let us know so we can offer the space to someone else. 

The sessions are detailed below - most are bookable, but the Welcome (at 9.45am) and the final Close of Day (at 18.45) are open to all.

12.00-12.45 Les Hummel - Floor Based Slow Flow Yoga

13.00-13.45 Katie Graham-Young – Healing and Restorative Yoga

14.00-14.45 Genevieve  - Vinyasa inspired hatha yoga 

15.00-15.45 Kanti – Sound Bath Relaxation

16.00-17.00  Hayley Simpson – Children’s yoga (16 – 16:30  2-4 year olds / 16:30 – 17:00  5-8 year olds) (Siblings welcome to join in but class aimed at specific age groups)

17.00-17.45 Kevin Silous – Tibetan Heart Yoga

18.00-18.45 Jacquelyn Cooper – ‘Shake, Relax ‘n Roll!’ Tension releases for Mind and Body

18.45-19.30 Close of Day - Guided Relaxation and Meditation led by Jacquelyn – Everyone Welcome (no ticket needed)

19:30 – Summer Solstice Supper Club at The Pavilion (for tickets for this, please click HERE, this takes you to an external booking site). 

All monies donated will go to support Mind BLMK, the local mental health and wellbeing charity. You can find more information about the work Mind does locally by clicking the links at the top of this page.

The small print (important!)

- Please note that we cannot guarantee the weather! If it really is just impossibly pants, we may have to cancel. In the event that this is the case, we will aim to contact everyone who has booked to let you know, so please make sure your email / contact number is correct.

- The day is open to all, but under 16's MUST (this is not debatable - MUST) be accompanied by an adult who will sign them in and be responsible for them throughout. 

- If you have a yoga mat, bring it along. We will have some spares on the day, but supplies will be limited, so if you can bring one, please do. 

- We would encourage you to wear comfortable, loose fitting clothes that will be suitable for the weather on the day. You may also want to bring sun cream, hats, water or umbrellas, waterproof pants and a flask of tea (please delete as appropriate, depending on the British 'summer')

- The Pavilion at the Park will be open for drinks, snacks, light meals and similar. For more details, check their website HERE

- Whilst every effort will be made to ensure a happy and safe environment, you are responsible for your own health and wellbeing (and that of your children, if applicable). Please look after yourselves, ask for help from one of our stewards if necessary and enjoy the day.
