The Big Hat Factory Community Choir gave a wonderful end of term performance to a packed crowd in Luton last night, performing a variety of pop, gospel and musical songs.

The choir, led by their conductor, Gail and accompanied by David on the piano, sang a selection of songs they'd been practising over the past term, including Coldplay's 'Fix You' and 'Somewhere' from West Side Story. In the interval, raffle tickets were sold and raised over £300 which the choir very kindly donated to Mind BLMK.

Steve McNay from Mind BLMK said:

A huge thank you to the Big Hat Factory Community Choir for such a wonderful evening's entertainment, as well as their very generous donation. It's great to see people sharing the benefits of singing and performing as a way of improving people's mental wellbeing.

Big Hat Factory posterThe choir rehearses every Wednesday from 7 - 9pm at the Big Hat Factory in Bute Street in Luton and welcomes everyone. There's no audition and no need for any previous experience of singing. They'd love to see some new members.
