We are delighted to announce that Steve McNay, our Enterprise and Engagement Manager, completed the 2017 Virgin Money London Marathon yesterday in a little over four hours! Steve was running to raise money for Mind BLMK, specifically for our Youth in Mind Project and he has raised over £3,000 so far.

Heads Together, who were the charity of the year for this year's marathon, were aiming to end the stigma and to change the conversation on mental health so that people could talk more freely about their mental health struggles. Steve was part of the #TeamHeadsTogether runners, leading the way in getting the country talking about mental health. He has been training for months, building up his stamina with longer and longer runs as he got closer to the big day and he was hoping to complete the race in four hours 15 minutes so he was even more pleased to finish in just over four hours.

Steve is on the left of the picture in the banner (he's the one with the beard in the bright blue Heads Together t-shirt) and if you watch closely in the video below, just after the button is pressed to start the race, Steve runs by waving at the cameras. Well done, Steve - we're all really proud of you and your achievement!
