Help! performance at The Place Theatre, Bedford

Last Thursday, 4 October, saw a performance of Help! by Viki Browne at The Place Theatre in Bedford. Help! is a show about falling apart, pulling yourself together and being surprised by what you’re left with. It is for anyone who’s ever struggled.

Mind BLMK was represented at the performance by our service user, Eamon who sat on a panel after the show as well to talk about his lived experience of mental health. After the performance he said:

It was a privilege to witness the performance and something special to behold.

It was a real team effort at the after play discussion as the members of the panel all gave their thoughts and experiences answering the audience questions.

Another audience member from ELFT said:

I am still remembering parts of the performance and being positively impacted by its power, truth and poignancy.

All in all, it sounds like the evening was a great success and we’re so pleased to have been able to work in partnership with Viki and The Place Theatre to bring the discussion of mental health to a wider audience.
