Queens Park Ladies Coffee Morning at Chaa Sha
The weekly Queens Park Ladies group for the over 55s takes a break in the school holidays, but we felt the summer holidays was far too long not to have a catch up! So last week we all met for a coffee and a snack at Chaa Sha on Iddesleigh Road.
It was great to see some of the regulars from our ladies group as well as meeting some new faces! The lovely sounds of chatting and laughter were heard all around, as well enjoying some of the tasty things on offer. The Pink Tea was a firm favourite with many and the vegetable samosas went down an absolute treat! What was felt at this get together was a real sense of the community coming together, the atmosphere was fantastic. So a huge thank you to Chaa Sha for allowing us to host our meet up there and to Fsella from the BRCC for her continued support with the ladies’ group.
So why not come along to our regular group? We are starting back at the Community Centre on Marlborough Road on Wednesday 12th September. We are currently finalising a timetable but we are hoping it will include seated exercise, hand treatments, recipe sharing and more! But you are of course always welcome to just pop along for a cuppa and a chat. Each week there is a small charge of £1.00 which covers teas, coffees,
and activities. Although the group is aimed at 55 years and over, we welcome any ladies of any age who would like to come with their friends or family that are over 55. Hope to see you there!
