What is the aim of the course?
The Healthy Minds project is for Luton residents, and aims to support individuals with mild to moderate mental health problems, through specially designed courses delivered by trained and experienced staff.
Wellbeing 5 week Courses
This programme is comprised of one session each week, for five weeks.
Delivered in small groups, the sessions are diverse and aim to meet the needs of all participants. Each programme is intended to provide participants with emotional and practical tools to use and support their everyday life and wellbeing.
The course will cover areas such as:
- Building self-esteem and confidence
- Anxiety and depression – tools and techniques
- Anger awareness
- Relaxation and mindfulness.
Dates, times and locations:
Location: Zoom, virtual classroom
- Session 1 – Tuesday 07 July 2020
- Session 2 – Thursday 09 July 2020
- Session 3 – Tuesday 14 July 2020
- Session 4 – Thursday 21 July 2020
- Session 5 – Tuesday 28 July 2020
All sessions take place between 10.00am on 12.00pm.
Criteria for a fully-funded place
Participants must be a resident of Luton, aged over 19 years old, and economically inactive or in receipt of benefit.
