Volunteer with Mind BLMK in 2024

Fancy a new venture for the new year? We’re looking for likeminded individuals to join Team Mind BLMK to volunteer their time supporting positive mental health and wellbeing across Bedfordshire, Luton and Milton Keynes. 

Volunteers are a key part of our workforce and without them many of our services would cease to exist. We utilise our volunteers across the whole organisation from Peer Mentors, Event Volunteers, HQ Volunteers (such as admin and finance) and Crisis Recovery Workers. If you have a passion for mental health then we’d love to hear from you!

2024 is a great time to join Team Mind BLMK as we go into the new year with new staff, new services and a new strategy. There is lots of opportunity to develop within the organisation and sink your teeth into exciting projects.

Volunteering is a great way to use your develop your skills, as well as meet new people and gain confidence. And it is also a good addition to your CV.

Many volunteers get huge satisfaction out of making a difference to the lives of anyone with a mental health

 problem.

Will I receive training?

We will provide the necessary training to help you perform your role effectively. All volunteers will receive an induction and training depending on their role when they start. The training provided will be appropriate for the demands of the position and the capabilities of the volunteer. Plus, we offer additional optional training if you really want to hone your skills and understanding of mental health.
