Bedford BoroughMind BLMK works from Bedford Wellbeing Centre, at 3, Woburn Road in Bedford, but supports people across the whole borough. Contact us on 01234 343969 or email us on email@example.com. Wellbeing for Later Life The Wellbeing For Later Life Project is aimed at supporting those who are aged 55 years and over in Bedford Borough. We can also offer support in other areas. We will do this by:- Working with local people to find out what they want- Helping to bring local people together to help support each other- Making sure people know what other support is out there- Offering individual support that helps YOU to find out what YOU need to know, to make friends, stay healthy and feel better. It can, for many, be a time in life where there is much change. This can include retiring from work, health issues or children leaving home. The Project will be able to support people in a number of ways, for example many people will come to a point in their life where they will need to catch public transport. This can be a daunting experience for someone that has not done this alone before. Our one-to-one service can support this goal, and many others. The project will also provide wellbeing sessions whether it be for Relaxation Techniques, Dealing With Anxiety, Dealing With Bereavement or Positive Thinking, just to name a few. We also deliver Wellbeing Workshops to organisations, faith leaders and community leaders which will provide people with practical tools and techniques to support older people in their community. All wellbeing sessions and workshops can be tailor-made to suit the specific group they are being delivered to. The project will be guided by a steering group, made up of older people from local communities. If this is something that you would be interested in being part of, you can find details and an application form here. We will be holding a series of information events over the coming months - for full details click HERE Contact information Clare Anderson - Project Coordinator firstname.lastname@example.org 07876 825350 This project is supported by the lovely people at The Harpur Trust.
