Why did you want to work for Mind BLMK?

I have lived experience and I wanted to support others.

I volunteered with Mind for several years and thoroughly enjoyed the experience, so it was a no brainer when I saw a permanent role come up.

Tell us about your role and any progression?

I work at the Campbell Centre inpatient mental health unit at Milton Keynes Hospital. I work alongside other Activity Assistants and Occupational Therapists, running and supporting various activities that enhance wellbeing and recovery.

I volunteered for years at Mind BLMK running yoga and mindfulness workshops with the wellbeing team. I’ve never stopped teaching and in my role as an activity assistant, I am still able to pass on my existing experience to others.
