See the Signs, Save a Life Suicide Prevention Training

This training, commissioned by Public Health, is an introduction to basic suicide awareness for those who work in Bedford Borough, Central Bedfordshire, & Milton Keynes only. 

This training is delivered online, and the session is 2 hrs 30 minutes.

Around 6,000 people die by suicide each year in the UK and 1 in 5 will experience suicidal thoughts at some point in their life.

By attending you will:-

  • Be able to recognise the signs and symptoms of someone who may be having suicidal thoughts.
  • Identify tools and techniques so you can support the person in crisis, including stayalive app.
  • Identify how to communicate with a person with suicidal thoughts.
  • Recognise the importance of early professional help.

See the signs training is commissioned by Public Health and is available for anyone employed within Milton Keynes, Bedford Borough or Central Bedfordshire. Please only proceed with booking if you meet this eligibility criteria and you can attend the date and time selected.  The information you give will be used to book your place and shared with Milton Keynes City Council Public Health Work and Workplaces team for auditing and evaluation purposes only. It will not be shared with any third parties and will be collected and stored in line with GDPR.
