We believe that mental health should be treated equally to physical health – and just like physical first aid, Mental Health First Aid training should be kept up to date.
The MHFA Refresher course takes four hours to complete and will enable learners to:
- Keep their knowledge, awareness, and skills of mental health support current
- Update their knowledge of mental health and what influences it
- Practice applying the Mental Health First Aid action plan
Once you have completed your MHFA Refresher course, you will be certified for three years and will be invited to become or stay a member of our Association of Mental Health First Aiders – making sure you have everything you need to feel confident when supporting others.
Support beyond the course
By training with MHFA England you will ensure your training doesn’t stop when the course comes to an end.
We provide support for MHFAiders® – well beyond initial certification – so you are confident, empowered, and motivated to carry out your role.
By refreshing and joining the Association of Mental Health First Aiders, you will have access to:
- The MHFAider Support App®. Access to features such as a 24/7 text support service, signposting to a national database of health services, and insights that teach critical self-care skills
