Our Peer Support Project Learning Workshops in Luton, aims to provide you with the necessary tools and techniques that will enable you to become Peer Support trained.

These workshops are available to individuals living in Luton and over the age of 19, who are either economically inactive or working under 20 hours per week.

By attending the course, you will:

  • Gain skills in building self-esteem and confidence
  • Improve resilience and apply the tools and techniques to support self and others
  • Identify a wellbeing toolkit and share the activities in a Peer Support role
  • Improve the application of effective communication and active listening
  • Recognise emotional difficulties and learn management techniques which support this
  • Know the importance of boundaries in a Peer Support role
  • Be familiar with a Peer Support framework and how this can support others
  • Taking care of own wellbeing in a Peer Support role
  • Identify the importance of a safe environment when offering Peer Support
  • Know progression routes for Peer Support
