A big thank you to Foxley Kingham Anniversary Foundation…
Foxley Kingham Anniversary Foundation in Luton has donated a whopping £4,500 to Mind BLMK.
Since 2018, the team at Foxley has donated to lots of local charities in the Luton area. 2022 proved to be a record-breaking year for the team where they raised £13,000 which they split between their charity partners Mind BLMK, Child and Adolescent Mental Health Room (CAMHS) and the CHUMS Charity. These vital donations will make a big difference to all ourselves and the other charities.
Their focus last year was health and wellbeing, particularly looking at mental health which influenced their chosen charities to donate to. Last year was also the first time since 2019 that the firm could deliver its annual fundraising activities with ‘in-person’ events, so we feel very honoured that they selected us this year.
So what did the Foxley Kingham team get up to?
The team wanted to chose activities that would attract fundraising and also meet any of their personal goals too. They combined the conventional with the more daring.
Accounts and Audit Senior Aimee Dimmock achieved a 13,000-foot skydive in 2018. Last year, she completed a ‘wing walk’ strapped to the pole in the center of an aircraft’s wingspan – she spent 12 minutes on an acrobatic flight at 120mph. Aimee beat her fundraising target and raised a staggering £3300 (well done Aimee!!!).
The Foxley Kingham cycling team took on a longer ride than ever before with a 68.2 mile course Ride Essex route. They raised an amazing £2,800.
Among the other activities held, the team also held quizzes, dressed down at work, played bridge and held raffles.
“Last year we raised £10k for Level Trust, and now we’ve gone on to raise even more for our health and wellbeing charity partners. I’m so proud of the team and look forward to them topping this year’s amazing feats in the coming year. Watch this space!” – Tara Aldwin, Director at Foxley Kingham and Anniversary Foundation Trustee.
So what’s next for the Foxley Kingham Anniversary Foundation?
The team are already busy planning 2023’s fundraising challenges. Their theme for this year will focus on supporting charities that alleviate poverty in the area including those who are facing significant challenges due to the cost of living crisis.
We wish the Anniversary Foundation all the best with their 2023 fundraising challenges and a huge thank you for your extremely generous donation.
