Once out of London, the route mainly passes along quiet country lanes through Surrey and Sussex before a mile long climb to the top of the South Downs where riders will be rewarded with amazing views and a water break!

Here are some other highlights of what’s involved for riders:

  • Achievable fundraising target of £150 to support Mind BLMK’s work in the local area
  • Pre-event support
  • Free buffet lunch and free water stops
  • Fully signed route
  • Mechanical support
  • Meeting other cyclists
  • A winning medal!

As a charity we’ve seen lots of different challe As a charity we’ve seen lots of different challenges and events over the years, but none quite so daredevil as a ‘𝐖𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐖𝐚𝐥𝐤,’ which Aimee Dimmock will be completing on 𝐒𝐚𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐝𝐚𝐲 𝟐𝟎𝐭𝐡 𝐀𝐮𝐠𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟐.

Aimee is no stranger to throwing herself out of a plane, having previously raised funds in 2018 for Foxley Kingham’s charity Partners, but this stunt is going to take a lot more precision, good weather and general downright bottle!

For those that don’t know, Wing walking is the act of moving along the wings of an aeroplane during flight, sometimes transferring between planes. It originated as a daredevil stunt in the aerial barnstorming shows of the 1920s.

If you were lucky enough to get tickets for this y If you were lucky enough to get tickets for this year’s iconic festival, then you are in for a memorable few days and we are dead envious!

Following last year’s postponement, this is the most sought-after place to be, and revellers have been setting up their tents ahead of the live music sets since yesterday.

This year’s festival is being headlined by Gen-Z pop star Billie Eilish, Beatles legend Sir Paul McCartney and US rapper Kendrick Lamar, with Diana Ross taking on the traditional Legends Slot. We can’t wait to sit back, and watch is all from the comfort of our armchairs.

If you’ve ever released stress by dancing around your room to your favourite tunes or enjoyed a good cry with the help of a touching love song, you know how powerful music can be. It can lift you up when you’re low and calm you down when you’re anxious.

Music is a powerful tool for mood regulation and stress. The best part is, it’s always available to anyone who needs it.

We hope you enjoy Glastonbury 2022 just as much as we will… and if you are there, tag us with your piccies (our social media handle is @MindBLMK, across Twitter, Facebook and Instagram), we'd love to see them. Love and Peace!! 💙🎸🎵

𝐖𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐫𝐮𝐬𝐡 𝐃𝐚𝐲 is celebrated in the United Kingdom every year on June 22 and marks the arrival of Afro-Caribbean immigrants to the shores of Britain and honours the British Caribbean community. An estimated half a million people made their way to England after the Second World War.

Not only did these people work as nurses, pilots, teachers, armed forces and engineers to rebuild our country, they brought with them a plethora of culture, music, food, family and so much more.

The Windrush scandal is still affecting people’s freedoms right here in the UK. We encourage you all to read more. Copy and paste the following link into your browser:

Sadly, we couldn’t be there, but Daphne Howe and her amazing partner Colin were raising funds on behalf of Mind BLMK. Combined with a good old-fashioned tombolo and selling beautiful, hand knitted dolls/toys & other crafts, Daphne raised an incredible £400 on the day.

On Monday 13th June, we were delighted to spend an On Monday 13th June, we were delighted to spend an evening with ladies from the 'Inner Wheel Club’ of Wolverton, at the Roman Park Club in Milton Keynes.

President ‘Judith Byard’ explained the fascinating history behind the association and all the charitable activities they had been involved in since covid restrictions have lifted.

The Inner Wheel Club was established some 61 years ago and exists to promote true friendship whilst fundraising for local and international charities. It was lovely to chat to members, listen to their stories and see the passion they all shared for helping others.

We were humbled to accept a cheque for the staggering amount of £2000. This is so appreciated and will be used to fund additional hours for our Bereavement by Suicide Support Service in Milton Keynes.

The impact of suicide on those left behind can be devastating and bring a wide range of different emotions and experiences. Our support service is there to help you during the grieving process.

For more information about please head to our website (link in bio).

Thank you, ladies, for your fabulous hospitality and incredible donation. It means so much 💙
