Local Mind encourages supporters to Wear Blue for the day for Mind BLMK

Mind BLMK asked supporters to join them in wearing blue for the day, last Friday 08 October in advance of World Mental Health Day that Sunday, to help raise awareness of mental health and to let people know that the charity is there to support people across Bedfordshire, Luton, and Milton Keynes in their time of need.

World Mental Health Day this year focused on living in an unequal world, with the aim to draw particular focus on the inequalities within the mental health system and recognise the inequalities that are prevalent within society today.

Despite a fantastic turnout for Wear it Blue Day, the charity encourages people to continue the conversation and to keep raising awareness of the support available for people to access locally. Mind BLMK states that if we work together, we can aim to achieve an environment where everyone gets the support and respect they deserve with their mental health.

Thanks to everyone involved and who engaged with the campaign. For more information on future fundraising events or to find out more about the services Mind BLMK offer, please email: [email protected]
