Mental Elf 2023 Sponsorship Opportunities

We are hosting our biggest fundraising event on Sunday 10th December, and to make it a magical event for all, we need your help!

Mental Elf, a 5km fun run, was created by Lancashire Mind in 2014 and traditionally takes place on the last weekend in November or the first weekend in December each year.

A unique event which focuses on bringing people together, not only to fundraise, but to raise awareness of mental health and wellbeing. It promotes the benefits of physical activity, connecting people and doing something to help others. An inclusive and non-competitive event, Mental Elf is accessible and open to all ages and abilities, and of course, Christmas fancy dress is very much encouraged!

This is the first year that Mind BLMK are taking part and hosting their own event. We decided to create something bigger than just a fun run for lots of people to enjoy.

The event will take place at the prestigious Shuttleworth, with the 5k route taking you on a beautiful tour of the grounds. At the start/finish area there will be food/drink vendors, Santa’s Grotto, a stage with live entertainment, local stallholders, games and more! Plus Shuttleworth are holding an amazing Christmas market in the House. Each Mental Elf 5k ticket also includes free access to the hangars and swiss gardens (which retails at £15).

Even if people don’t buy tickets for the Mental Elf 5k, anyone is welcome on site to access the market, grotto, food/drink and entertainment for free. We want to create a fun, festive event for all the family. This is where we need the support of local businesses and individuals.

As we want to keep the costs as low as we possibly can for the public, we are looking for sponsorship to help with the running of the event. This includes the land hire, stage hire, toilets, first aiders, decorations, Santas grotto and everything else in between. In return, we can offer you exclusive exposure of your brand across the Shuttleworth site, shout outs throughout the day, a place in the programme, posts on our social media and more. This opportunity will also highlight your commitment to supporting positive mental health and wellbeing in Bedfordshire, Luton and Milton Keynes.

We are expecting at least 200 participants, all of which will bring their families/friends to spectate. Plus over 1000 of the general public throughout the day attending the Christmas Market and Shuttleworth lights display.
