Mind BLMK to deliver Reboot UK Digital Skills Project

We are very proud to be partnering with national Mind and The Good Things Foundation to deliver the third phase of the Reboot UK project in 2018 and 2019. Reboot UK is a landmark programme aimed at supporting the most vulnerable in society to improve their wellbeing through gaining digital skills. The project aims to build a network of organisations and people who will share the skills and confidence people need to get online, giving them greater choice and control over their lives.

We have appointed a Community Connector to help set up a ‘Community of Practice’ and to support digital champions from other local Minds and partnership organisations within this area. The Community Connector will work with the digital champions to embed innovative ways of sharing digital skills within our services, making digital inclusion a key priority.

Digital technology can be hard to avoid in modern life – whether it is staying in touch with friends or family, managing benefits claims or finding local services or activities, much of what we need is now online. Digital literacy can help grow people’s confidence and independence, and is a central part of recovering from mental health problems.

We are looking forward to getting started on the project with our new digital champions early next year.

This project is funded by Mind.
