Three local women run 84 miles for Mind BLMK
Nicky, Leigh and Anna take on 84 miles along Hadrians Wall for better mental health
Three outstanding supporters, are running an incredible 84 miles along the famous roman landmark – Hadrians Wall in aid of local charity, Mind BLMK, this August. Each of the women will be running carrying a backpack, filled with everything they need for this incredible challenge.
This fantastic route from Bowness-on-Solway in the west to Wallsend in the east is not an easy task for a walker, let alone a three people new to running! However, these three incredible women are determined and aim to raise both positive mental health and vital funds for those who need it most across Bedfordshire, Luton and Milton Keynes.
The team said the following about the adventure –
We’re not runners. But after the year we’ve all had, we wanted a challenge that would kick us into gear and one that could shine a light on the wonderful work of Mind BLMK; an independent local charity that has supported so many of us with our mental health.
The run will take place August 2021, over the course of 4 days. Hayley Mattacks, Fundraising and Communications Manager, at Mind BLMK said:
We are truly honoured to be chosen by Nicky, Leigh, and Anna for their Hadrian’s Wall run this August. We know that this will be both a physical and mental challenge for each of the women and are we are grateful to each of them for all their incredible hard-work and effort supporting our work here at Mind BLMK. It is through support such as this, that we can continue providing our key services across Bedfordshire, Luton and Milton Keynes.
