Mind BLMK Mental Elf Fundraising Event

We are hosting our biggest fundraising event to date ‘Mental Elf 5k Festive Fun Run’ at Shuttleworth. A family-fun event with a Christmas market, Santa’s Grotto, a wellbeing area, food/drink, live music, and lots of festive fun!

On Sunday 10th December 2023, Mind BLMK will be hosting their Mental Elf fundraising event at Shuttleworth. This Mental Elf 5K event will help to raise vital funds, enabling Mind BLMK’s to continue delivering their free services in the local community. 

Mental Elf is a unique event that focuses on bringing people together, not only to fundraise but to raise awareness of mental health and wellbeing. It promotes the benefits of physical activity, connecting with people and doing something to help others. Thank you to Lancashire Mind who created the original concept of Mental Elf. 

5k Festive Fun Run

The 5k can be ran or walked… it’s all about having fun. It’s an inclusive and non-competitive event, accessible and open to all ages and abilities, and of course, Christmas fancy dress is very much encouraged! 

Mind BLMK’s Mental Elf event will take place at the beautiful Shuttleworth, with an exclusive 5k route around the grounds. Alongside the 5k fun run there will be a Christmas Market taking place in the beautiful Shuttleworth House. 

What does a ticket include? 

A place in the Mental Elf 5k 2023 and victory medal 
FREE warm up session with a personal trainer

Access to the Mind BLMK Paddock with food/drink vendors 
Access to Shuttleworth House Christmas Market 
FREE access to the Shuttleworth Collection (usually £15.50 Adult Ticket)

Please note: There may be some tickets left for walk-in’s on the day, but we highly recommend grabbing a ticket in advance.

Warm Up Session

Local Gym ‘Jones’ from Biggleswade will be there pumping up the crowd with a fun warmup session just before the run, and we are delighted to announce that we will be joined by the local Sandy Mayor, ‘Joanna Hewitt,’ who will be counting down the clock and setting off the Klaxon for our lovely Mental Elves to commence the 5K run.

Event Area

In the event area where the fun run will start/finish there will be live festive music from the Alina Orchestra’s 5-piece brass band and the talented Polymnia Choir. Mind BLMK have also teamed up with Safer Central, who will be hosting a wellbeing area, with other local organisations to show case the very important work they are delivering locally in the area too.

Access to the event/paddock area to see the live music and wellbeing area is completely FREE, so we hope that you will all stop by to help support Mind BLMK and enjoy some good old fashioned festive fun. Tickets are only required to take part in the fun run and the Grotto. 

Santa’s Grotto

No festive event is complete without a Grotto, so Santa will be hard at work delivering the magic to our younger audience, with his trusted and loyal elves to support him.

Volunteering
